Michigan Achievement Scholarship: Apply by March 4, 2024
The Michigan Achievement Scholarship is a new scholarship program from the State of Michigan that provides financial assistance to Michigan high school graduates who attend college in Michigan. The scholarship is available to students who attend public and private colleges and universities, as well as community colleges.
To be eligible for the Michigan Achievement Scholarship, students must:
- Be a Michigan high school graduate with a diploma or certificate of completion or achieved a high school equivalency certificate in 2023 or after.
- Be enrolled full-time in an eligible postsecondary institution in Michigan.
- Demonstrate financial need by having an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $25,000 or less.
The amount of the award varies depending on the type of institution the student attends:
- Up to $2,000 per year for students attending a career training program in Michigan, up to two years.
- Up to $2,750 per year for students attending a Michigan community college, up to three years.
- Up to $4,000 per year for students attending a Michigan private college or university, up to five years.
- Up to $5,500 per year for students attending a Michigan public university or are enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program at a Michigan community college, up to five years.
Application Deadline: March 4, 2024
To apply for the Michigan Achievement Scholarship, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available online at studentaid.gov.
