CSF/CJSF Scholarships and Awards
The California Scholarship Federation (CSF) and California Junior Scholarship Federation (CJSF) offer a variety of scholarships and awards to their members. These scholarships are designed to recognize academic excellence, leadership, and community service.

CSF Scholarships
- Glenn Michelson Award Essay Contest: This scholarship is open to all CSF junior and senior members. Applicants must submit a 500-750 word essay on a topic related to scholarship, service, and citizenship. The deadline to apply is December 22, 2023.
- Seymour Memorial Award: This scholarship is open to all CSF senior members who have been active members for at least four semesters. Applicants must be nominated by their CSF chapter and submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor. The deadline to apply is February 18, 2024.
CJSF Scholarships
- CJSF 50th Anniversary DiGiovanna Memorial Award Essay Contest: This scholarship is open to all CJSF 8th grade members. Applicants must submit a 500-750 word essay on a topic related to scholarship, service, and citizenship. The deadline to apply is January 13, 2024.
- Marian Huhn Memorial Award: This scholarship is open to all CJSF 8th grade members who have been active members for at least two semesters. Applicants must be nominated by their CJSF chapter and submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor. The deadline to apply is February 25, 2024.
How to Apply
To apply for a CSF or CJSF scholarship, you must first become a member of your school’s chapter. Once you are a member, you can visit the CSF/CJSF website to learn more about the specific scholarships and awards that are available to you and to download the application materials.
